Jesse Ringness was born and raised in North Texas and became a caregiver at an early age when his late mother Gail was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in the 90s. He received his Bachelor's degree in film from Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. He then relocated to California to pursue his career in film but chose to return home to continue caregiving.
Faced with working 3 jobs at once in addition to being his mother’s sole caregiver, Jesse learned first hand the unimaginable physical, mental, and financial burdens of the current healthcare system. This is one of the main catalysts of his campaign - lower healthcare costs for those in need and offering support for caregivers.
Jesse began his political and civic engagement by becoming a Democratic Precinct Chair in 2021 and then a Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar in Collin County and is working towards his VDR certifications in Denton and Dallas Counties. He became an official volunteer for the City of Frisco in 2022 and has spent time volunteering for the Frisco Heritage Museum, Frisco Education Foundation, Collin County Meals on Wheels, and Minnie's Food Pantry.
Being certified in CPR since 2020, Jesse went on to graduate from an Emergency Management Institute FEMA course on diversity awareness, a FEMA course on Animals in Disasters: Awareness & Preparedness, Frisco City Hall 101 and Frisco Citizen Fire Academy where he became a member of the CFA Alumni.
Utilizing his skills in filmmaking, Jesse began documenting the March For Our Lives movement to spread the bipartisan message of gun responsibility laws like enhanced background checks, raising the purchasing age of semi-automatic weapons and red flag laws.
Over the years Jesse has documented many peaceful protests, the occasional riot, and public events from across North Texas advocating alongside such leaders as Erin Brocovoch, Lee Merritt and Beto O' Rourke.
Today, in addition to running for HD66, Jesse operates a YouTube channel, "Be The Change '' where he independently documents local events and news stories and enjoys sharing videos of his 3 dogs, sulcata tortoise, and his black and white argentine tegu.
